I am thrilled by the simplicity and relevance to day-to-day business of the Effective Intelligence mindframes. In the past 4 years I have used the techniques to help me to run meetings more effectively, to establish a clear decision making process and, most importantly, to value the contributions of each of the team players. The mindframes helped me to make conflicts less personal and understand them as a consequence of different thinking styles.

"Brett Richards, founder of a company named, "Connective Intelligence" has worked with our New Account Manager ranks over the past 2-3 years, with great success.
Feedback from our most recent program with Brett Richards, please keep in mind that Account Managers are typically a difficult audience - yet they raved about this program in particular.
When asked what they liked most about the week-long training, 7 out of 10 specifically named the "Thinking" workshop, and 2 others referenced it in a more general manner such as "interacting with others".
To put this in perspective remember that even our New Account Managers typically have a minimum of about 10 years of pharma industry experience, and have held leadership positions including the DSM role. In this group, 3 of the 10 had over 20 years industry experience. As you can imagine, they've been through many similar training programs and still found great value and relevance in the "Thinking Styles" program in particular.
Brett is a talented facilitator of this intriguing and thought-provoking program - I highly recommend it".

"Of the manyleadership training programs I have participated in, the one offered by Connective Intelligence Inc. is amongst the best with respect to providing both personal insight and practical tools to enhance leadership style. I have continued to engage with Connective Intelligence during the 5 years since my original training to foster understanding within teams, drive change and steer agendas. I have also found Effective Intelligence decision tracks to be one of the most effective tools to direct challenging meetings and collectively conclude with actionable next steps."

Infrastructure Ontario
Infrastructure Ontario’s Business Development and Corporate Services Division enjoyed a fun, lively and interactive day with Connective Intelligence. The Effective Intelligence ‘Effective Thinking’ model not only enabled team members to gain an insight into their own thinking styles and patterns but also helped them to understand the thinking styles of their colleagues and the motivation behind that thinking.
Practical exercises involving ‘Decision Tracks’ enabled team members to focus more clearly on the challenges facing the organization. The result has been a more integrated approach to problem solving and increased team work and collaboration.

I have been utilizing the system of Effective Intelligence specifically to assist in the recruitment process for the past 2 years. The on line TIP survey has been extremely helpful in screening final applicants for their fit with the organization, the job and with me. It is a valuable assessment tool in making such an important decision.

ONA - Ontario Nurses Association
The Ontario Nurses' Association recently contracted Connective Intelligence to conduct the Thinking-Intentions Profile on its Senior Management group and share tools for decision-making.
Participants rated the session highly - 4.5 out of 5. They appreciated learning how thinking styles can complement and hinder and the importance of clarifying the purpose of a decision before gathering too much information. The decision map and tracks - given a time frame - will be practical and helpful for more effective, efficient decision-making. Bravo!

"I wanted to make contact and thank you again for your thoughtful and insightful coaching and facilitation that day. I thought you would be encouraged by the following:
The training in team collaboration with Effective Intelligence is working!
We re-launched the WBR meeting with huge success and has cut the meeting in half and everyone is very energized, including the leader!
Two other major meetings have been re-launched and now only take up half the time, and we're getting better all the time!
Team members are big believers and giving it tons of positive energy.
I will definitely talk to you more soon re: harnessing the passion soon...Thanks for your support as always".

"The Effective Coaching Program gave our management team very valuable insight. It essentially laid the foundation for a great process we can all use on a daily basis in coaching sessions that makes sense and is easy to use. We all left the program feeling our coaching skills had grown exponentially. Thanks Brett."

Meetings can be challenging for many reasons but we have found a solution that has proven itself extremely valuable; whether you need a quick start, to overcome a challenging group or situation: the Effective Meetings tools and processes provided by Connective Intelligence prove over and over again to come to the rescue.
Utilizing the Decision Tracks in particular we are able to create agendas, do sufficient fact-finding, know where to focus our energy by defining the most urgent issues, discover alternative options/ideas that might help us move forward, and finally, which of these options/ideas are right for us and to what can we commit?
Meetings are now amazingly productive and several attendees comment on how much we have accomplished and how much clarity that we have moving forward. The minutes from the meeting created themselves as we worked through the decision track and have provided an excellent foundation for subsequent meetings.

"I have a Connective Intelligence story for you... My two regional managers and I were asked by our biggest customer to attend a meeting about a new concept...the meeting consisted of about 6 different nursing agencies and we were all told that we had to submit a written proposal within 4 weeks to engage in a 3 month pilot. The best proposal would win the contract. We all felt this was an impossible task !
My team agreed to meet a few days later and try to talk it through, despite our skepticism. We allowed 3 hours for the meeting and used one of the Effective Intelligence Decision Tracks. When we met with our Director team the next week and told them about what the Client wanted us to do they all said (practically in unison) "That is ridiculous - it can't be done" to which we replied "Yes it can - we figured out how to do it".
We wrote up our proposal, submitted it and won the whole thing! Not only that, we were the only agency that won and the Client told us that we were the only group that "got" their concept.
Pretty exciting and all due to thinking in a new way and allowing ourselves to stay in "green" long enough to see possibilities lurking behind the more obvious difficulties.
Thanks so much for helping our team with our "thinking skills"- Effective Intelligence has clearly made a great difference. Look forward to working with you again in October".
